| These remarkable young women are
making their parents and Kids’ Chance supporters proud!
Kristina entered her junior year this fall at
Georgia Institute of Technology with a GPA of 3.85. She plans to
acquire a degree in industrial engineering and work in the
pharmaceutical industry. She writes, “I desire to work in the
production aspect of pharmaceuticals, which entails producing new
and effective drugs to battle sickness and disease. I believe this
profession will afford me the opportunity to aid people that
struggle with health issues. Just as Kids’ Chance has given to
me, I desire to give back and help others. Thanks so much for your
tremendous help.”
Nina graduated in 2005 from
the University of Georgia with a degree in public relations. Her
dream was to become a special events/promotions coordinator for a
professional sports team and she’s currently working for the
Atlanta Hawks. A single mother, Nina says she is fortunate and
grateful to have been a Kids’ Chance scholar.
Mr. White was employed as a
receiving clerk at a grocery warehouse when he was
catastrophically injured in 2002. He was driving a forklift when a
collision with another forklift became unavoidable. Mr. White
jumped from his vehicle but his foot became trapped under the
other forklift’s jack. It resulted in amputation of his left
foot and half of his leg. He is so proud of his daughters’
accomplishments and we’re proud to be able to help them toward
their goals.
